Welcome to Roving South
A tale of a yarn store formerly known as The Lucky Ewe
Ten years ago I stood outside a closed yarn shop in Oatlands and told my husband: "When I own that store, I'm going to be open more." A few years later, I owned it. Three years after that, I put my own spin on things — literally and figuratively — sold up, and moved to Mole Creek.
That was the beginning of Roving South.
The Lucky Ewe served its purpose and I'm grateful for it. But Roving South is what the business actually is now: a specialist fibre arts studio dealing in equipment, locally grown Tasmanian fibre, and honest advice from someone who uses what they sell.
Same studio. Same person. New name.
If you're looking for my hand dyed yarn, you'll find it at The Weaver's Cottages Studios in Oatlands and Salamanca Wool Shop in Hobart.
