Description

Unicorn Clean's Power Scour is the deepest and most powerful detergent and comes in a fresh lavender scent. Power Scour is great for scouring raw wool & mohair. treating tough stains, removing odours from fabrics, deep cleaning grease and grime or washing heavily soiled laundry. This is the only fiber scour that is recommended by The Lucky Ewe. If you do not know how to wash a fleece, please check out the amazing resources made available here by the Unicorn Clean company.
It's tough on the most heavily soiled fibres/fabrics but gentle enough to protect delicates. Power Scour works well in all water temperatures but for very heavily soiled items use hot water. When scouring fleece use water that is at least 60° C. Do not let fleece cool in scouring water - the lanolin you are trying to remove will reattach itself and all your hard work will have been for nought.
Power Scour is available in 111 ml (4oz) & 473 ml (16oz) containers.
Unicorn products contain a unique anionic and nonionic cleaning agent which serves as a mineral grabber. This means that their products are actively cleaning without a build up of chemicals in your fibre.
Unicorn is free of sodium lauryl sulfates, enzymes, gluten, dyes, phosphates, irritants, fillers, optical brighteners, bleaches, and is not animal tested.  All products are earth-friendly, biodegradable, and septic safe.

    Why we like it
Unicorn Power Scour is a highly concentrated fibre scour and on average this product uses less than half normal competitive products.

    Sustainable sourcing

The equipment I stock comes from makers I respect — Ashford, Schacht, Majacraft — who build things designed to last decades, not seasons. The fibre is Tasmanian where I can source it, because buying from down the road is the most straightforward version of this. I won't stock something I don't believe in, which means the range is deliberately small.

    What I'd use myself

Everything in the store has been through the same filter: would I use this myself? If the answer is no, it doesn't make it onto the website. That means the range is deliberately narrow — there are no products here to fill a gap or round out a catalogue. What's here is here because I'd stake my own time and reputation on it.

    Wool miles

Fibre has a journey before it reaches you — where it was grown, where it was shorn, where it was processed, and how far it travelled at each stage. I think you deserve to know that. Where I can tell you the origin, I will. Where I can source locally, I do. This isn't a marketing position — it's just what honest dealing looks like.
